Bariquins have now developed their Coronavirus (COVID-19) Policy for their Training Courses using their bariatric training mannequins.
Bariquins have partnered with experienced training organisations in order to offer different but complementary training categories in Bariatric Casualty Moving & Handling Training
The courses are designed for practical insight into the care of plus-size people within emergency scenarios or situations where hoists are unavailable, including where time constraints exists. The courses focus on the demands that this causes.
The Initial and Intermediate Courses provide training for a maximum 12 candidates per course.
The Advanced Course holds a maximum 6 candidates, all of whom must have successfully completed the Intermediate Training, which forms the first 2 days of the 3 day course.
If you are interested in any of the courses for Bariatric Patient Handling Training, please complete the message form below, call us on 0161 464 6160 for further information or email Bariquins on training@bariquins.com
The courses have been created to give a practical insight into the care of plus-size people within the health and social care environment, highlighting the specific challenges that this brings.
The training sessions are for classes of 9 trainees and can be held at the host organisation’s premises or at another location if suitable classroom facilities are not available. There is a minimum of two trainers per course.
We are currently in the process of re-organising our bariatric patient handling training. We define bariatric patient training for circumstances where there is access to patient hoists and such equipment, in a hospital or care home environment. We are hoping to offer courses to a class made up of individuals and small groups from different organisations. These training classes will be held at our base in Stockport, Manchester.
Details will be announced when the course planning has been completed. These details will include pricing.
All courses use Bariquins training mannequins to aid instruction.
